Discover a unique conservation project at the Kalborn Mill! Start from the village of Kalborn and enjoy a gentle one-hour hike down to the river, leading you to the Kalborn Mill. During this guided walk along the Our River, immerse yourself in a fascinating ecosystem and learn about the crucial role of water quality for its most discreet inhabitants.
Then comes the highlight: exclusive access to the freshwater pearl mussel breeding station, a site usually closed to the public. A truly immersive experience combining nature, science, and biodiversity! The team of the Hëllef fir d’Natur Foundation will share their knowledge about the pearl mussel before the walk continues back up to the village.
Level: Open to all – 2 km to the mill, 4 km return via the Eislek PAD Kalborn
