Enjoy the pleasures of winter throughout December in Clervaux. Every Advent weekend, you'll find entertainment, chalets and various stalls in the heart of Clervaux: on the Place du Marché and in the shopping street. On 16 and 17 September, the festivities continue with the enchanting Christmas at the Koener Hotel.
The Union commerciale et artisanale de Clervaux invites you to winter shopping. For three days, the small town of Clervaux will be transformed into an idyllic winter village. Under the motto "Cliärref, e Wanterduerf", the centre of Clervaux will enchant visitors with a very special Christmas atmosphere from Friday, 1 December to Sunday, 3 December. The local shops and small retailers of Clervaux welcome visitors for three days in their shops and at the festively decorated outdoor stands.
Stroll through the pedestrian zone, enjoy a spiced mulled wine, taste winter specialities such as hot chestnuts and be surprised by the packed entertainment programme. On Saturday, the children's theatre Papiermond from Cologne will entertain you with its fantasy and children's stories, and Charlotte Reuter, known as "Potty Lotty", will entertain you with her shadow theatre on Sunday.
Of course, Saint-Nicolas will also be stopping off in Clervaux. He will be stopping off in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Clervaux at 3.30pm on Saturday 2 December, accompanied by the Clervaux Musical Society. Meanwhile, Brasserie Koener is also organising a St Nicholas tea party and will be offering face painting for children from 3pm to 4pm.
Music lovers will be in for a treat, with musical accompaniment ranging from a children's choir and brass band to concerts by Silk&Sonic, Rike Port and Patricia Venãncio. A visit to the small northern town of Clervaux, dressed up as a winter village, in December is an absolute must.
The festivities will continue the following weekend with the "Cliärrwer Uucht". Participating local shops are extending the fun with a Christmas shopping evening on 08 December, from 6pm to 9pm, accompanied by a glass of mulled wine and musical entertainment in the pedestrian zone and at participating shops. The traditional Clervaux Christmas Market will take place on Sunday 10 December 2023 between 11am and 6pm in the heart of Clervaux: on the Place du Marché and in the shopping street.
Local associations will be on hand to welcome you in the pedestrian zone, while a craft market will be held in the Place du Marché. From artisanal food products to decorations and wooden toys, you'll find everything you need to fill your Christmas tree with gifts. There will be entertainment throughout the day, including the Harmonie Municipale de Clervaux and DJ Greven. The Soukha company will also be adding a touch of magic with their snow elf show.
A shuttle bus will be running between 10am and 6pm. It links the town centre to Clervaux station and the multi-purpose hall, where you can park easily.
